In my youth, I believed daydreaming was a pastime reserved for the lazy, unmotivated, and undisciplined. However, I have realized that such a belief is wrong and misguided. Some of us follow the societal norm — study hard, get good grades, go to university, balance work and play, and then follow the path of corporate success after graduation. But, some of us soon realized that defining success is difficult. Is it a conventional path of family, a secure job, and passions sacrificed for stability? Or can success be found in the pursuit of genuine joy?

As we go through the motions of our daily lives, it’s not uncommon to feel a sense of ennui and question the purpose of it all. The humdrum routine of waking up, going to work, spending time with loved ones, and sleeping can make us feel like we’re stuck in a never-ending cycle. However, there’s a way to break free from this monotony, and that’s through daydreaming. It’s a powerful tool that can help us escape into our imagination and think beyond the mundane.

It’s essential to take a pause and reflect on our thoughts, no matter how big or small they may be. When we get busy, we tend to forget to breathe and take stock of our lives. We become so engrossed in our daily routine that we forget to appreciate the little things that make life worth living.
